About the Role
We are looking for a full-time, US-based Director, Sales to join our team. The Director, Sales will report to the Head of Commercial Growth and will prospect, build and close a pipeline of new business by partnering with executives at hospitals and health systems and mapping their needs to our revenue cycle management platform solutions.
AKASA is based in South San Francisco. As a company, we embraced remote work and consider ourselves experts in working collaboratively wherever our team members happen to reside.
What You'll Do
Build relationships with C-Level executives at hospitals and health systems to discuss their strategic and operational challenges, present best practice solutions
Drive business development and sales strategy to achieve sales target
Conduct consultative onsite and virtual presentations to educate prospective clients on industry best practices and AKASA products
Work closely with BDR team to prospect new sales opportunities
Lead entire sales cycle from initial opportunity creation to finalizing opportunity outcome (including prospecting, driving the discovery process, developing and presenting proposed solutions, navigating procurement and legal processes, and closing the deal)
Provide insights from prospecting visits to inform future research initiatives and new product development inquiries
Engage with prospective and existing customers at trade shows and industry events
Collaborate closely with product, marketing, finance and legal teams to drive sales outcomes and support accurate forecasting
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years consultative, enterprise sales experience
Proven track record selling to executive-level healthcare providers such as hospitals and health systems
Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and develop solutions that exceeds expectations
Dynamic and engaging presentation skills; ability to break down complex or abstract ideas into simpler concepts
Ideally, deep experience in health system revenue cycle, specifically mid-cycle (coding, clinical documentation improvement) sales, consulting, or delivery
Excellent writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
Ability to travel domestically up to 60%

Compensation
Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 + Equity. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
