What you'll do

• Develop and execute test cases for front-end, back-end, and non-functional testing.
• Leverage your chemistry and materials background to support the quality process for the Chemical/Material science industry, domain-relevant software demonstrations, work with our internal teams to better understand clients research workflows, and objectives.
• Perform end-to-end manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications, ensuring compliance with business and technical specifications.
• Interpret and understand software requirements and acceptance criteria to determine the scope of testing including positive, negative, and edge case scenarios.
• Proficiency in identifying, logging, and tracking defects with detailed documentation and reproduction steps.
• Hands-on experience with various types of testing: Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Exploratory Testing.
• Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman (manual validation).

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in the intersection of chemistry and technology.
• Experience in LabVantage, BIOVIA, or similar platforms, who have transitioned to digital roles and demonstrated a keen interest in technology.
• Strong preference for individuals with Python coding experience and a desire to integrate technical skills with their domain expertise.
• Familiarity with Software UI/UX testing principles and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high levels of software quality.
