Product Designer - Interaction & Systems
amo
Join us as one the early members of our Product Design team and help lay the foundational building blocks of the next generation of social apps. We’re looking for a Product Designer who specializes in design systems, someone who thrives on making complexity feel simple, creative chaos feel intentional.
You'll help architect our component libraries more or less from scratch, systematizing foundational building blocks based on our apps’ visual design language but also opening new possibilities. You understand that early systems are living, breathing, and constantly evolving. If you’re curious and fluent in both design and engineering, this is your chance to shape a system that truly enables velocity and creativity across disciplines.
You'll be a part of a small and versatile team, so be prepared for virtually no routine. That means you’ll have the freedom, resources, and agility to create top-notch products. Your north star? Design that balances coherence with expression, born out of an ambition to scale to billions of users.
What this looks like on the daily:
Craft & Ownership: You’ll bring a meticulous eye to our creative chaos, identifying core principles, signature styles and patterns. As the driver of our design system, you'll embed yourself in our way of working and continually evolve best practices for translating feature ideas into scalable UX and beautiful interfaces.
Deep Collaboration: As a bridge between design and engineering, you'll work across multiple platforms (iOS and Android) with a mobile-first approach. You’ll translate pain points into thoughtful design solutions that enable seamless hand-offs and increase clarity, speed, and joy for both teams.
Artistic Innovation: Our code and our product design are inspired by art & fashion. We break standards and we are bold, always pushing each other to find fresh takes on what we build. You’ll fire up your creative instincts and contribute to our collective imagination.
Your Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable design systems and component libraries
Experience designing a mobile app, ideally consumer-facing, even better if you’ve worked on consumer social products
Obsessive about small details and visual finesse, you sweat the 1px difference and care about every transition
Mastery of modern design tools (Figma, etc.), fluency in responsive UI/UX for mobile and front-end concepts, able to discuss feasibility and logic with engineers
Curious, self-directed, and excited by the ambiguity of early product work
Comfortable communicating and collaborating in English (our working language)
Even better if you...
Are passionate about social apps and believe the consumer space is broken and ripe for reinvention
Have complementary skills like 3D or Motion Design
Are eager to experiment with generative AI workflows and leverage it for internal tooling
Have strong opinions on art, culture, and fashion trends
Life at amo
To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week.
We wanted to make sure coming to the office is as comfortable as possible for you:
We chose a location in central Paris, near Opera (Metro lines 3,8,9 and RER A).
We have a beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, and huge windows. So a lot of natural light!
We reimburse your commuting expenses 100%.
Because life outside of work should also be stress-free, we cover:
Health care (100% coverage).
Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Second Parent Leave (salary maintained at 100%).
We shut down entirely twice a year — two weeks in the summer and one week in the winter to allow everyone to truly recharge and to avoid prolonged slowdowns (especially in the summer). This enables everyone to actually disconnect and enjoy their vacation. No Slack, no email, no FOMO. Per French standard, we also offer another 4 weeks to allow team members to choose when they want to take time off.
We love the diverse perspectives we get from having people from all over the world join us, and so we of course support relocation to Paris with:
Help and sponsored visa process.
1 month of Airbnb 100% covered by amo upon arrival.
Assistance from Settlesweet to find your permanent home.
Help with french paperwork like opening a french social security account, tax forms and more.
French lessons to be fully set with your new Parisian life.
