At Anaplan, we are seeking a curious, detail-oriented, career-inspired leader to lead our fast-growing Renewal Operations Organization as a DIRECTOR, GLOBAL RENEWAL OPERATIONS. This multifaceted role will report to the VP of Global CS Operations and will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional sales, customer success, and renewal leaders to drive process optimization, territory and quota development, forecasting, board and executive committee reporting, renewal compensation, deal desk partnership and overall renewals process effectiveness. This role will additionally provide direct counsel to the global geo VP’s and Renewal Leaders to drive Renewal Manager performance, develop accurate forecasting & pipeline measures, and build strong relationships across the GTM org to influence decision making and reduce churn.
Your Impact
- Act as a trusted advisor for Customer Success leadership by designing, implementing, and managing renewals forecasts and trends (GRR, NRR, churn, shrink, IQRR, OTRR, linearity, and other relevant KPI’s.)
- Manage, develop, and mentor the Global Renewal Operations organization
- Provide data-driven insights to improve Anaplan renewal objectives that enhance effectiveness
- Ensures renewal reports and other intelligence is provided to renewals leadership and develops new reporting tools and dashboards
- Develop and implement operational processes and key business priorities in conjunction with global renewal leadership to support the development and presentation of business outcomes to stakeholders for a view to assist with driving performance areas
- Ensure global renewal initiatives and programs are communicated, aligned, implemented, and measured, for bi-directional knowledge sharing to support global standard methodologies
- Establishes and maintains a renewals onboarding/training plan focused on development and reinforcement of critical renewal competencies
- Communicate regularly on business and team performance and make recommendations based on analysis of key performance areas; foster an environment of continuous improvement
- Build renewals performance executive presentations
- Responsible for assigning quotas and related territories to ensure that Anaplan financial objectives are optimized and allocated to all renewal channels and resources through the quota program
- Oversees renewals compensation plan administration for Global Renewal Managers
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required (major in analytical or technical field preferred)
- 12+ years of experience in a senior people leadership role in sales/renewal operations with a high-growth global company, ideally in the SaaS space
- 5+ years of analytical experience (ideally in consulting, finance, or sales/business operations)
- Exposure to territory and quota operations
- Proven track record of mentoring, coaching, and strengthening team members
- Deep understanding of the revenue lifecycle in the SaaS and Enterprise Sales business model
- Strong ability to deliver and facilitate knowledge transfer, both in-person and virtually, across a globally diverse team
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and robust analytical skills (formula design, pivot tables, charts) for designing and developing reports, metrics, and dashboards
- Comfort with large sets of data and ability to detect patterns (data collection, modeling scenarios, clear presentation of findings)
- Strong reputation collaborating across departments (including finance, sales, product, marketing, analytics, etc.) as being innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment
- Personal pride in the accuracy of your work and the way that you solve problems
Preferred Skills
- Prior Anaplan experience, either as an end-user or model-builder
- SFDC administration and/or SFDC dashboard building experience
- Experience working in global markets
