In less than 15 minutes, customers instrument data sources with thousands of data quality metrics and anomaly detection algorithms that proactively alert them to issues. With Bigeye, data teams prevent customer-facing data outages, save expensive engineering hours, and build greater faith in the data.

The Work

We are seeking a VP Sales that is committed to playing a foundational role in building a high performing enterprise sales team and delivering ambitious predictable revenue growth in the fast-emerging data observability market. This leader must have strong B2B SaaS enterprise sales experience in data infrastructure or a related data management space in order to be able to hit the ground running with in-flight deals.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who has previous experience designing sales strategy, building teams, and successfully executing to hit ambitious company growth goals. You will report to the Chief Operations Officer and take responsibility for the Sales and Sales Development teams, partnering closely with Marketing and Product to design and execute a world-class strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with the GTM Teams to design a world-class go-to-market strategy.

  • Drive rigorous sales execution, oversight, and KPI management including forecasting and pipeline management.

  • Lead the development of a repeatable and scalable customer acquisition and client success methodology.

  • Set individual sales goals for the sales team and coach them to successful outcomes.

  • Build, develop and retain a diverse, high-performing sales team that cultivates trusted-advisor relationships with our customers and prospects at all levels.

  • Accurately forecast quarterly and annual sales of existing and new products.

  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing counterparts to design and execute our go-to-market approach for Bigeye and future products.

  • Concisely communicate revenue targets to executive leadership and the board.

  • Establish weekly, monthly, and yearly targets that enable measurement of individual and group performance.

  • Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients when necessary.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of previous sales experience in a similar capacity (B2B Enterprise SaaS)

  • 5+ years leadership experience

  • Experience in the data infrastructure and/or data management space.

  • Collaborative approach. You will help with the complete go-to-market strategy at Bigeye by collaborating with Marketing, Product, in addition to your own team’s training and development to help the company succeed

  • Proven sales methodology which you can adapt to the specific needs of Bigeye’s market and customers

  • The mix of self-confidence and humility that allows you to inspire your team but also to listen and understand.

  • An analytical mindset but with tolerance to the ambiguity inherent to early ventures, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions even with imperfect information.

  • A demonstrated background in building world class sales organizations and the processes needed to scale them rapidly.

  • A data driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Proven success in hiring, training and development of sales professionals, ideally in a company in the 50 to 200 person size.

  • Deep experience in using both Hubspot and Salesforce as well as a full sales tech stack.

Salary Expectations

  • Base salary of $175,000-200,000 on a 50/50 package, depending on experience
