Responsibilities
The Employer Branding (EB) team Help potential candidates understand who we are as an employer - either ByteDance or any of its brands; Partner with our internal stakeholders to move candidates through the talent funnel, from awareness to interest, and application through hire; And, to maintain a pulse on candidate satisfaction and champion employee experiences. Responsibilities - Define and lead the strategic direction for maintaining, defending, and enhancing the company’s employer brand reputation by leveraging insights, issues management, proactive social media strategies, and risk mitigation framework; - Monitor and analyze insights from external channels (e.g., social listening tools, employer brand audits, reputation platforms like Glassdoor and Blind) and internal feedback channels to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities from an employer branding perspective. Develop and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen employer brand perception, employee advocacy, and candidate trust; - Lead a strategic, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to issues management, including early flagging, root cause analysis, reputation impact assessment, and coordinated response strategies; - Drive social amplification strategies that proactively reinforce positive narratives, correct misinformation, and promote authentic employee stories aligned with the company's talent philosophy; - Establish clear metrics and reporting frameworks to measure brand reputation health, issue response effectiveness, and the impact of proactive reputation management initiatives; - Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Legal, Risk, Public Relations, Talent Acquisition, and People teams to ensure coordinated reputation management efforts across all touchpoints.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, marketing, communications, branding, or a related field; - Ability to think and act strategically, to connect reputation risks and opportunities to larger business and talent strategies, and develop proactive, long-term plans; - Experienced in handling sensitive employer brand issues, with the ability to assess reputation risks quickly and recommend effective mitigation and communication strategies under pressure; - Skilled at using data and insights (social listening, brand health metrics, internal feedback) to guide decision-making, spot emerging trends, and measure impact; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and multilingual skills are a plus, to support effective collaboration with global teams; - Natural collaborator and strong communicator who can build strong relationships with colleagues across our global team. Preferred Qualifications -Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities, demonstrating sound judgment, discretion, and resilience; - Highly self-motivated, resourceful, adaptable to change, and driven by curiosity and impact; - A genuine interest in how culture, employee experience, and talent branding intersect to build a company’s long-term reputation; - Exposure to employee experience, talent acquisition, or internal communications strategies; - Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures in a matrixed global environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $156000 - $312000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
