Responsibilities
About the Team ONE Studio, with teams in Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai, oversees the distribution and long-term operation of ByteDance’s self-developed and licensed games in China and abroad. Our portfolio includes titles such as MARVEL SNAP, Ragnarok X: Next Generation, The Legend of Hei Shan, and Core Crystal. By bringing together creative excellence and operational expertise, ONE Studio delivers engaging gaming experiences that inspire joy for players worldwide. - Deep Dive into Steam Platform Mechanisms: Track traffic algorithms, promotion events, and policy updates; deliver actionable interpretation reports. Develop product exposure enhancement plans to maximize traffic in store pages, search results, and recommendation scenarios. - Steam-Oriented Publishing Strategy Formulation & Execution: Create segmented strategies covering the full product lifecycle (testing, page optimization, pricing, post-launch operations). Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to drive implementation and support cold-start breakthroughs. - Competitor Analysis & Strategic Support: Build a Steam competitor monitoring system (for buy-to-play/live-ops, single-player/PVP games). Regularly produce weekly/monthly reports to provide decision support for product positioning, publishing rhythm, and gameplay optimization. - Data Review & Strategy Iteration: Track core data (traffic, conversion, sales, retention); benchmark against competitors and industry standards. Iterate publishing plans to continuously improve lifecycle revenue and user reputation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on Steam game publishing experience; led the full publishing process of at least 1 PVP/large-scale single-player game with proven results (e.g., 100,000+ first-month sales, top 20 in Steam Top New Releases). Priority to candidates familiar with China-US Steam market differences. - Strategic thinking with differentiated strategy development capabilities; proficiency in Steamworks Backend, Excel, and data analysis; deep understanding of publishing logic for diverse game types and competitor insights. - Strong cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills; mastery of Steam ecosystem (store rules, tool usage, community operations). - Awareness of industry trends in single-player/PVP segments; fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English (native/near-native English for US-based roles; international communication proficiency for China-based roles). - Result-oriented with strong goal decomposition and execution abilities; quick learner to adapt to platform rule iterations and industry changes. - Passion for mainstream Steam games, with insights into player needs and platform culture.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $105387 - $192534 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
