Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

About the Team

At Canva, we’re all constantly striving towards our Crazy Big Goals! Since growing to a worldwide team of over 5,000 we need to ensure we’re working as effectively and efficiently as possible, which is where the roles in our People Group come in! We’re structured in teams like People Operations, Canva University, Growth and Impact, Internal Coaching, People Partnering and many more to support our global team.

The Team Insights team sits within People Experience. The People Experience team is responsible for designing, building and implementing inclusive people experiences globally that enable everyone to thrive and make an impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Insights Lead, we're looking for someone who is energised by continuously listening to the experience of our people, and evolving the systems, rhythms, and tools that make that possible at scale. You have a deep love for people insights, strong knowledge of people data, and the ability to build and improve the tooling and operations that bring our listening strategy to life. A storytelling powerhouse who can connect sentiment with business context, you’ll help shape how we capture feedback, interpret insights, and ensure the right teams have what they need to take meaningful action. You partner naturally across the business, bring clarity to complex information, and keep projects moving with calm confidence.

What you’ll do

  • Evolve our feedback and listening rhythms: We really value listening to thoughts and ideas from Canvanauts around the world to improve our team, business and culture. This role will support the ongoing evolution of our global listening approach, ensuring we’re continuously improving the channels and processes that help every Canvanaut feel heard and have big impact.

  • Enhance our global listening strategy and operations: Play a key role in refining and scaling our listening tooling and methodologies so our listening evolves as Canva does. You’ll contribute to the design, launch, comms, analysis, and reporting of team surveys and other qualitative listening activities to uncover deep insights into the Canvanaut experience.

  • Strengthen our people data foundations: Apply strong people data expertise to improve how we collect, store, analyse, and activate insights, ensuring data quality, consistency, and actionable outcomes.

  • Be an insights and storytelling powerhouse: We want to ensure our Canvanaut voice is incorporated into our communications so that everyone feels a deep sense of belonging. You’ll transform qualitative and quantitative data into simple, impactful insights that influence decisions and build trust across the organisation.

  • Proactively drive listening initiatives forward: Independently own and progress end-to-end listening projects from concept and technical set up through to delivery, ensuring insights translate into meaningful actions and the feedback loop is consistently closed.

  • Love to be a real People Person: Build strong relationships with partners across People, Product, and the broader business to ensure listening insights are embedded where they matter most and used to guide high-impact decisions.

You're probably a match if

  • You have extensive experience in Employee Listening or People Experience Insights, including building end to end listening programs.

  • You’re skilled in understanding people data and utilising employee listening technologies.

  • You have a background (or interest in) Organisational Psychology, Org Development and/or People Analytics

  • You’re a real people person, building engaging relationships with key team members globally.

  • Are both strategic and hands-on, with a drive to continuously improve how we listen and respond to our people.

  • The ability to work autonomously in a collaborative, high-growth environment.

  • You have the ability to adapt best practices to a fast paced scaling business with a unique culture.

  • You’re an insights and storytelling powerhouse, able to communicate simply and clearly.

  • Great presentation and design skills (Canva’s made that bit easy!)

  • You bring a calm confidence to high-pressure situations and treat all data with high integrity.
