Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Senior Portfolio Manager, Biopharma is to manage the biopharma business development (BBD) portfolio opportunities and partner with Director, Biopharma Program Management, and provide analytics support to evaluate health of the business to ensure continual operations to support this fast-growing BBD business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain up-to-date Salesforce opportunities, dashboards, and cross-portfolio views or trends of opportunities; support business case development with cross-functional input including program management, market intelligence, business development, finance, alliance management, legal, and other functions as needed.

  • Summarize qualitative and quantitative trends, drawing actionable conclusions for the business.

  • Assist in market intelligence activities to support Biopharma.

  • Manage Biopharma trackers to help with legal workflows and contracting for Biopharma.

  • Spearhead biopharma conference planning for business development to support existing and upcoming business.

  • Organize and run portfolio-related working group meetings for BBD.

  • Work independently, handle multiple projects in parallel, and communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Communicate, document and archive project team activities and decisions.

  • Build high morale and team commitment to goals and objectives by creating a compelling sense of common purpose and direction.

  • Employ innovative ways to resolve problems in a highly dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS and/or MS in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Engineering

  • 5+ years of work experience in a program or project management role

  • Must have strong analytical skills and ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy.

  • Must be able to organize & identify project roadblocks to effectively deliver program milestones & meet established timeframes.

  • Ability to demonstrate successful facilitation, organizational, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to highlight issues to senior leaders, drive consensus and forge solutions.

  • Fluency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Excel (Forms, Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables and Graphs), Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.

  • Effective communication skills are required. Effective communication both verbally & in writing to both internal & external stakeholders. Maintain & develop cooperative working relationships with high level Company management & outside business associates. Experience collaborating & negotiating with managers and executives.

  • Competently represent the business and business interests at professional and other business functions. Maintain confidentiality according to company policy.

  • Demonstrated strength at thriving in highly ambiguous and evolving environments and high-profile, urgent situations.

  • Conditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening and reference verification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or portfolio analytics-based roles

  • MBA or Ph.D. preferred.

  • Experience with Salesforce portal preferred.

  • All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Other

  • This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Annual Hiring Range

$115,000 - $150,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
