The LIMS Implementation Analyst will report to and work closely with the Senior Manager, LIMS Implementation to ensure the implementation of new solutions and improvement of existing systems for the Caris Life Sciences Laboratory Informatics Systems. This role will help shape and deliver the long-term strategic vision of the lab software roadmap.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with both internal and external development teams to deliver results and configurations of lab software to address specific needs.
- Perform story building, sprint planning, demos and standups as related to development and configuration of LIS and LIS-like software.
- Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues.
- Independently deliver projects and initiatives in a timely and qualitative manner
- Assist in system configuration specifications, system administration SOPs, and execution of test scripts following GxP best practices.
- Assist in the evaluation of product enhancements and capabilities as well as the implementation of upgrades as required.
- Support initial and routine upgrade system risk assessments and testing activities.
- Act as a liaison from the Lab to the LIMS Engineering team, when working to implement/improve training, capturing/creation of digital assets, providing insight from physical processes to technical.
- Work with all Labs to assist in LIMS Implementation and Training Strategy
- Assist in development of Training strategies and materials for Labs and Teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of laboratory information system development, configuration, implementation, and production support.
- Working knowledge of operational process associated with a variety of patient specimen types from initial receipt and accessioning through resulting and issuance of final report.
- Working knowledge of standard clinical laboratory tests and assays, the instrumentation required to perform them and the inputs and outputs which flow through these operations.
- Working knowledge of the needs, roles, and integration points of business processes and groups on the periphery of a clinical laboratory operation including billing, insurance, client services, sales, medical coding, research/product development etc.
- Must be able to work across levels in the organization to drive projects to completion.
- Must be well organized and can meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong presentation skills
- Proficient computer skills, which include Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Prior healthcare experience
- Basic understanding of label printing, label design, label printing software solutions, version control and governance of barcodes and UDIs within a GxP environment
- Ability to work independently solving application software problems.
- Conditions of Employment: Individuals must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree STEM field
- 10 years clinical LIMS / LIS development, implementation, and support in a production GxP environment
- Strong Jira project management / Business Analyst
- Working knowledge of molecular separation techniques, nucleic acid extraction, nucleic acid extraction quantification, flow cell chemistry, and immunohistochemical staining principles
- Experience working in a GxP regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of clinical laboratory reporting requirements
- Experience implementing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
