Position Summary

The Report Quality Assurance Specialist will review applicable case information, testing ordered, and final reports generated to ensure all pieces are accurate and in accord, so that the information being provided to clients is of the highest quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality assurance of all outgoing client reports.

  • Confirms all information being sent is accurate and presented properly on documentation before it is sent out to the requesting physician.

  • Reviews all applicable case information to ensure necessary documents are present and all specimen information is correct.

  • Performs review of reports for required Post QC requests from Evidence team.

  • Reviews 50 cases daily with low to no errors.

  • Keeps open communication with team.

  • Understands different testing panels.

  • Understands difference of Proficiency cases.

  • Participates in team meetings.

  • Responsive to pertinent emails.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Laboratory experience in preferred.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (CLIA, NYS, CAP, FDA, ISO, etc.)

  • Previous experience working with patient reports and test results.

Physical Demands

  • Must possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail.

  • All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Other

  • This position may require some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
