Position Summary
The Vice President of Product Development Commercialization, will have the primary responsibility of developing commercialization strategies, product life cycle roadmaps, generating revenue and market share growth for Caris Life Sciences products through planning, developing, implementing and monitoring the product marketing strategy. Some duties will include leading others, product lifecycle marketing, creating marketing campaigns, commercial customer marketing, marketing communications, and advertising.
This individual must utilize vision, think strategically, and develop strategies for oncology key accounts in oncology centers of excellence while building an industry leading team of strategic and commercial marketers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success in oncology sales and marketing with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the head of marketing to develop and execute on Caris Life Sciences’ product marketing goals and objectives.
Plan, implement, and manage product and commercialization marketing strategy.
Contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Review and manage content marketing strategy and branding.
Build and lead a team of highly successful, productive, and professional marketing and commercialization leaders to support the Caris business marketing strategy.
Determine KPIs for marketing department.
Collaboratively develop go to market strategies for new products.
Effectively manage within an assigned marketing budget.
Track KPIs on a regular basis and present regular updates.
Work with sales, medical, market access, reimbursement and customer success teams.
Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions.
Stay up to date with the latest life sciences marketing best practices.
Lead strategy and attend marketing conferences and educational programs.
Design, plan and execute effective marketing campaigns.
Lead within a cross functional and matrixed environment (sales, customer success, etc.) to create overall market success.
Develop high level key opinion leader relationships to develop market specific strategies which will benefit our valued partners and Caris Life Sciences.
Identify trends and opportunities in the comprehensive molecular profiling space, MRD space, MCED space and utilize them to inform key marketing strategies and product development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, science, or related field required. MBA preferred.
10+ years minimum experience in oncology sales and marketing leadership with a proven track record of success in Product Lifecycle and/or Commercial Marketing.
5+ years of marketing management/leadership a plus.
Prior healthcare experience (in vitro diagnostic, pharmaceutical, oncology, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, and product management, with a deep understanding of changing market dynamics.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Superb analytical skills applied to specific laboratory medical markets.
Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work across all levels in the organization to drive projects to completion.
Must be well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
Must be a strategic problem-solver, and influencer with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Establishes credibility with intellectually demanding audiences; demonstrates confidence and commitment to effectively influence and lead; excellent spokesperson possessing strong oral and written communications skills.
Must be an agile, innovative, self-reliant and creative strategist with a desire to make a broader impact and inspire transformation.
Physical Demands

This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Annual Hiring Range
$230,000 - $260,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
