Position Summary
Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing relevant, actionable, and accurate data to various departments throughout the company. This individual must be solution oriented in order to determine the appropriate format and frequency for data delivery. Must possess expertise in dashboard creation, backend data exploration (SQL), Excel, etc. This position will serve internal clients (primarily Market Access and Billing) as well as external clients.
Job Responsibilities
Work effectively with department leaders to gather requirements to facilitate the design and development of dashboards and/or reports.
Serve as the analytics domain expert for assigned area(s) and advise/support others in support of efforts for the domain
This position will primarily work, but not exclusively, with teams across the organization in clinical, administrative and/or operational areas to provide analytical insights from reports and/or dashboard visualizations to facilitate discovery of new opportunities, support data-informed decision-making for identified challenges as well as develop new and enhance existing metrics to analyze ongoing performance metrics.
Works with all applicable phases of the application lifecycle from analysis, coding, providing technological support to customers, testing and implementation.
Gathers detailed user requirements and business process analysis data; conducts functional user interviews to document functional, system, customization, and data requirements and data sources.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively engage stakeholders.
Work effectively with non-analytic staff to translate dashboard insights into business process improvements. Communicate analytic findings to staff at all levels of business process understanding.
Provides timely assessments and status updates for assigned projects.
Continuously learns and applies best practices.
Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of assigned projects.
Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards.
Assists, as needed to perform other related duties and special projects and ad hoc analysis as required.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of experience.
5+ years of analytical report creation and delivery.
5+ years of experience building internal and/or client dashboards with tools such as Tableau, PowerBI.
3+ years of experience monitoring and optimizing analytic dashboard performance
SQL experience, preferably in a healthcare related setting.
Working knowledge of Jira and SalesForce platforms and data process automation.
Experience understanding data needs and providing insights to users across a variety of business departments (sales, finance, operations, etc.).
Demonstrated experience and successful results from working in a dynamic, matrixed organization with executive exposure.
Innate curiosity for creating insights from multiple data sources and effectively communicating those findings to an executive audience.
Ability to work with high volumes of transactions efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Medical billing procedures, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), insurance payment processing, and revenue cycle management.
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to work independently and creatively find solutions for problems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve the desired results.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Demands
General work environment – sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Noise level is typically low to medium.
Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
Training
All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.
Other
Willingness to work overtime, if needed.
Job may require minimal travel.
