Position Summary
The Receiving Coordinator I coordinates all activities of the receiving/inventory warehouse. This position also coordinates/expedites flow of materials from receipt to laboratory consumption, enters, maintains, and reconciles material transactions to ensure accuracy throughout organization facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates the receipt of all products, materials and supplies
Complete visual inspection of material deliveries for damage
Sort daily deliveries to identify to identify specimens, inventory receipts, expense receipts and off PO receipt
Perform system transactions
PO receipt
Material issue
Quality related entries
Create, print and affix material labels
Communicate receipt discrepancies to Supply Chain group
Complete material and receipt requests via email
Complete system transactions across company organizations
Organize and file packing slips, material transfer forms and any other relevant documentation.
Facilitate service and support related deliveries.(i.e. equipment deliveries, dry ice, Iron Mountain
Sort inbound USPS mail to each location
Complete daily lab replenishment as needed
Perform/complete inventory counting functions such as weekly cycle counts and annual physical inventory
Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area
Required Qualifications
High School diploma required
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a warehouse, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certificate or equivalent work experience preferred
Good computer and data entry skills
Physical Demands
Must possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.
May have exposure to blood-borne pathogens, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, fumes and bio-hazardous material/chemicals including formalin in the lab environment.
Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. is required.
