Position Summary:

The Director of BioPharma Marketing is responsible for implementing and executing marketing plans geared toward current and potential BioPharma partners. This position will continually develop and operate the end-to-end marketing capability for BioPharma. This role will be within the Marketing team, but will act as a strategic partner and go-to marketing resource for the Caris BioPharma Business Development team to support biopharma initiatives and to strengthen the company’s overall brand and reach.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear marketing strategies and tactics that align biomarker testing, CDx strategies, drug development and data insights across the biopharma lifecycle value chain.

  • Create and deliver compelling marketing collateral, product positioning, congress/events activities and education resources that communicates solutions for biopharma partnerships.

  • Articulate and help build the company's thought leadership platform in the biopharma space, defining the issues and topics that support engagement and story creation.

  • Analyze the market and competitive landscape to identify market differentiation opportunities and develop customer segments.

  • Build relationships with key customers, cross-functional partners and external business partners.

  • Translate complex subject matter into easier-to-digest content, while reinforcing key features and benefits of the product.

  • Manage deadlines and multi-task while consistently maintaining attention to detail.

  • Continually broaden knowledge base regarding company science, company culture, business, industry and trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in marketing, communications or medical/science

  • 10+ years of marketing experience in healthcare.

  • 5+ years of experience marketing/selling within the pharmaceutical segment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the biopharma R&D, commercialization and portfolio management processes.

  • Knowledge of marketing principals and experience implementing marketing programs.

  • Ability to think creatively and initiate new ideas or solutions to business issues.

  • Team-oriented leader who can work across organization levels to complete projects.

  • Results-oriented worker who can reliably deliver on major marketing initiatives.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, competing deadline driven environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exemplary planning and organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use standard office equipment.

Training:

  • All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Annual Hiring Range

$170,000 - $200,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
