We’re looking for a PhD graduate to join our Global Intelligence Team (GIT) as a Software Engineer. Our team is responsible for developing new cutting-edge behavioral heuristic algorithms, leveraging machine learning to develop analytic tools and identify unique data insights to fuel our data solutions platform, and building production-level engineering pipelines and systems. You’ll be working on projects at the intersection of research, blockchain, and machine learning.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Use creative problem-solving, data analysis, and research capacity to provide the best tooling, engineering systems, and data-science solutions to promote efficiency and scale in our pursuit to continue to provide best-in-class data for our products and customers across the globe.

  • Co-develop and modernize engineering systems to increase efficiencies and scalability for our data and tooling.

  • Help to mentor, lead, and empower a growing team of engineers.

  • Leverage your technical acumen and leadership skills to help develop and advance our team’s strategic vision.

  • Continue to develop and expand your passion for growth, engineering, cryptocurrency, and intelligence by collaborating across our internal GIT teams and also with engineering teams in R&D and Product.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • PhD in computer science, machine learning, cryptography, or other technical fields.

  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Python, PySpark, and Spring-based Java.

  • A passion for solving unique and challenging data-centric problems.

  • Familiarity with cloud providers, ideally AWS.

  • An analytic mindset and approach with experience working closely with data analytics, data science, intelligence, and/or research teams.

  • A creative and open-minded approach to problem solving, unafraid to jump into a problem and get it sorted, even if it’s outside of your day-to-day role.

  • The ability to work well with others and multi-task with a rigorous work ethic.

Nice to have experience:

  • Re-architecting or modernizing existing engineering systems and pipelines

  • Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform

  • Frontend development; we mainly use React and Angular

  • Databricks and DBT workflows

  • Configuring Kubernetes clusters and deploying microservices applications.

  • Knowledge, passion, and experience in cryptocurrency space.
