Job Description

About the role:

As a Product Analytics Lead, you'll deliver analytics for one of Checkout.com’s product verticals, collaborating closely with a cross-functional leadership group. You'll manage a squad of Product Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers and own end-to-end analytics delivery, from how we instrument the data to delivering data models, dashboards, and insights. You'll be a co-owner of the product delivery and help define how we measure the success of our products and run analyses to find product improvement opportunities.

Data Analytics at Checkout.com is a highly visible function that critically impacts the company’s success. It underpins our business plans and forms the basis for setting our company objectives. As a leader in this group, you'll have a wider support network of Analytics Engineers, Product Data Scientists, and Data Product Managers.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You'll manage a team of Product Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers that defines, measures, and presents metrics, delivers data pipelines and self-serve analytics, and ultimately enables actionable insights.

  • You'll be responsible for delivering analytics for a product vertical. As part of your role, you'll scope the work, implement the delivery, mentor others, and set an example by providing insights and analytics.

  • Contribute to product roadmaps through data-based recommendations and continuously define high-impact areas for improvement.

  • Ensure we collect and model the correct data to produce relevant business insights.

  • Increase the data maturity of your product vertical by embedding data-driven decision-making in every step of product development.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience building measurement frameworks and validating the results with relevant quantitative methods, including experimentation

  • Experience in delivering data warehouses, self-serve analytics tooling, and data products

  • Strong analytical mind and demonstrable experience in converting ambiguous problems into structured and data-informed solutions

  • Proven experience in collaborating cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders, setting expectations, prioritization, and scoping the analytical delivery

  • Leadership experience supporting and coaching others as well as delivery planning and management

  • Core analytics skills, data interrogation skills with SQL/Python, Data Modelling/Engineering, applied statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression), and hands-on experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc..).
