Job Description

Checkout.com is actively looking for an enthusiastic Senior Engineer I to join the Workplace Technology Support team. Based in our London office, Checkout.com’s global headquarters, you will be one of the in office points of contact for our users on everything and anything technology related and helping to maintain the technology throughout the building. Working closely with key stakeholders around the business to support their requirements and ensuring the people have the tools they need to do their jobs.

With an environment that is predominantly cloud based, you will find yourself working on market leading cloud technologies, ensuring our users have access to what they need and helping them get the most out of their tech.

The ideal Candidate is self motivated and driven with a positive hands-on and can-do-attitude, looking to work in an uncompromising, fast paced environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Provide customer focussed technical support to our users
  • Act as an escalation point for our IT Service Desk and other Workplace Technology support team members.
  • Ensure ticket queues are being managed and tickets are handled in line with our agreed SLAs.
  • Provide support for and administer a wide range of market leading SaaS apps, such as Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Intune and Atlassian products.
  • Providing direction and mentorship to other members of the Workplace Technology Support team.
  • Working closely with our Workplace Technology engineering team and assisting with ongoing projects.
  • Onboarding of new joiners. Ensuring access and hardware is provided on time and holding IT induction sessions.
  • Partner with our Workplace Experience team, to maintain the office technology including Zoom meeting rooms, WiFi and network connectivity and digital signage throughout our offices.
  • Support in running our All Employee Meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Manage local stock inventory ensuring all items are available at all times and recorded and tracked appropriately in our asset management system.
  • Element of travel to other sites for ongoing project work or where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an IT Administrator or Support Engineer in a fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with G Suite and Okta is essential.
  • Experience supporting both macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, be self motivated and ability to work autonomously.
  • Understanding of and experience working with networks, servers and security tools.
  • Creative problem solving skills, with good attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner.
  • Ability to operate tools, upgrade components and support peripheral/accessories.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
