Job Description

Salesforce DevOps Engineer at Checkout.com

Passionate about the Salesforce technology and striving for innovation, value, sustainability & quality, sums up our Salesforce Center of Excellence team. All engineers are empowered to challenge strategic decisions and are expected to be vocal around leveraging every feature which Salesforce has to offer. We believe in delivering sophisticated solutions in a ‘simple’ way. Our engineers are expected to analyse key architectural options like building VS buying & custom code VS OOB configuration. Our Salesforce org and its team is constantly evolving, and we look for self-driven & experienced engineers to come onboard.

The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end release process of Salesforce applications, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of software releases. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce development, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and experience with various technologies used in building unlocked packages.

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery processes.
  • Manage and maintain version control systems, ensuring proper branching, merging, and tagging strategies are followed.
  • Continuously assess and improve release processes to enhance efficiency and reduce deployment risks.
  • Interact with technical architect, delivery manager, and developers for planning, configuration & leading Salesforce releases
  • Implement, design, and support Salesforce-based cloud application solutions for internal business teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirements and desired functionality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Salesforce enterprise experience
  • 5+ of Salesforce development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce environment strategy & DevOps
  • Must possess Salesforce Platform Dev 1 & Admin certification
  • Deep understanding of Metadata API and tooling API.
  • Strong experience with version control systems like Github.
  • Excellent knowledge and expertise around SFDX, Scratch Orgs, and Unlocked Packaging
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools, preferably in GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as NodeJs, Shell, or similar for automation tasks.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and engineering best practices, including Apex Enterprise Design Patterns and Separation of Concerns
  • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce security architecture
  • Hands-on knowledge of Apex, Salesforce APIs, Lightning Development (LWC)
  • Experience working within an Agile development framework
  • Experience with enterprise integration frameworks (experience with event-driven integration patterns and working knowledge of AWS is a plus)
