Job Description
We're looking for a B2B marketer to join our APAC team to accelerate our business expansion in Japan. Central to your role will be the ambitious aim of driving revenue growth for Checkout.com through customer-centric demand generation efforts. You'll be entrusted with the helm of a regional integrated marketing strategy, ensuring its flawless cross-channel execution.
Reporting to the APAC Marketing Director, you will assist with local marketing programs in Japan and support various regional initiatives across APAC. As a versatile marketer skilled in both digital and content marketing, you will ensure the effective implementation of integrated marketing strategies with compelling storytelling that truly stands out. You will not only conceptualize and execute marketing programs but also refine them using an analytical approach.
This role is based in Tokyo.
How you’ll make an impact
Strategic collaboration for Japan: Partner closely with regional commercial (sales, AMs, SE) teams to formulate both strategic and tactical plans aimed at demand-generation and revenue growth.
Field Marketing for Japan: Execute integrated marketing programs to build up brand awareness and drive consideration across digital marketing (website, search, programmatic), PR, social media and events etc. through paid, owned and earned channels.
Account-based Marketing for Japan : Craft and direct region-specific marketing campaigns, placing a strong emphasis on diversified ABM execution (1:1, 1:few, 1:many).
Content marketing for Japan: Write creative copy for regional campaigns and help create/update a library of local contents (case studies, industry white papers, blogs, thought leadership articles, infographics) that support go-to-market plans.
Marketing Operations for APAC: Enhance regional effectiveness of marketing efforts through the execution of email campaigns, marketing automation flows, performance ads, and website/landing page workflows.
Product Marketing Alignment for APAC: Stay attuned to regional market dynamics, ensuring our marketing maneuvers are in harmony with both an overarching global vision and nuanced local preferences.
Global-region-local synchronization: Collaborate seamlessly with 1/global channel subject-matter-expert teams and 2/ APAC regional marketing partners to localize global/region campaigns, guaranteeing they hit the right note in the local context.
Qualifications
Native speaker of Japanese. Professional level of English (both written and verbal) is a must-have.
3+ years of marketing experience
Experience working with Google analytics, Marketing Automation tools and CRM tools.
Embody an entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on, figure-it-out attitude.
Being customer-obsessed and humble to learn, curious to learn, open-minded to learn.
Being a communicator and storyteller: instinctively think about how to turn new market/product info into compelling messaging.
Resilient with ambition to work in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Hybrid Working Model:
All of our offices globally are onsite 3 times per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). We’ve worked towards enabling teams to work collaboratively in the same space, while also being able to partner with colleagues globally.
