The marketing operations team at Cohesity is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Localization Specialist with proven experience using CAT tools & TMS platforms, and supporting multilingual projects. In this dynamic role, you will assist in managing translation and localization projects from initiation through delivery, working closely with vendors, linguists, and internal teams.


HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Collaborate closely with content creators and global teams to deliver high-quality, customer-facing content in English and multiple non-English languages.

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.

  • Perform linguistic file preparation, including file conversions, pre-processing, and post-processing tasks.

  • Define and optimize localization processes for global and regional marketing teams, ensuring consistency and alignment on all content, localization functions and projects.

  • Partner with localization stakeholders and regions to optimize translation workflows and processes for efficiency, cost savings and scalability.

  • Define and track localization KPIs to measure quality, ensure efficient workflows, optimized translation memory, and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to development of localization standards, systems, and best practices.

  • Manage localization quality assurance (LQA) processes to maintain linguistic and cultural accuracy and coordinate local office review with key stakeholders.

  • Manage translation memory and terminology databases.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and cost optimization.

  • Balance competing priorities through great time management, organizational skills, and judgment.

  • Contribute during new localization connector implementations, performing QA, optimizing content through automation, etc.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Translation, Linguistics or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in localization program management or project management.

  • Strong background in localization strategy, translation quality management, and global content adaptation across domains.

  • Experience with vendor management, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and cost optimization.

  • Expertise with localization tools and technologies, such as Translation Management Systems (TMS), Computer Assisted Technology (CAT) systems and Content Management System (CMS) platforms such as Smartling, Transifex, memoQ, SDL Trados, Lokalise, Adobe Experience Manager, XTM, etc.

  • Expertise with collaboration & project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana, Confluence, Slack, Trello, SharePoint, etc.

  • Familiarity with file formats (e.g., .xliff, .sdlxliff, .json, .xml, .indd) and file conversions.

  • Familiarity with localization quality assurance (LQA) processes, translation memory management, and terminology databases.

  • Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) best practices, including technical constraints in software localization.

  • Fluency in English required; additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

  • Strong data-driven mindset, with the ability to define and track localization KPIs to measure success and drive improvements.

  • Experience thinking through strategy as much as executing.
