  • Project Management & Communication: Proactively communicate project status and sustainability milestones with internal teams and external clients, ensuring alignment on expectations and deliverables. Accurately track project timelines and maintain up-to-date project records using management tools, so that all sustainability tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Leadership in Sustainability: Serve as a subject-matter expert on sustainability within the firm. Advocate for innovative green building practices, stay current with industry trends, and mentor junior staff in energy modeling and sustainable design best practices. Lead by example in promoting the firm’s sustainability objectives on every project.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in whole-building energy modeling software such as EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, or eQUEST (experience with IES-VE, DesignBuilder, or Cove.Tool is a plus) Ability to interpret simulation outputs and translate them into design recommendations.
  • Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of building energy codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1) and familiarity with green building certification processes like LEED. Demonstrated ability to develop strategies for energy code compliance and sustainability goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to convey technical information clearly, lead effective presentations/training, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
