As part of the Databricks Payroll team, you will join a dynamic global organization that is helping our customers solve some of their toughest problems. You will also ensure our employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with all requirements—allowing them to focus on doing their best work. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who loves hands-on processing, thrives on problem-solving, and brings strong system skills to handle complex payroll cases without needing to escalate.

The Payroll Analyst will work closely with the Senior Payroll Analyst to support accurate and timely payroll processing for our LATAM region—specifically Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico. You will collaborate with payroll vendors, internal partners, and employees to deliver compliant, efficient payroll operations. While you will not be solely responsible for payroll execution, you will play a key role in preparing, validating, and reconciling payroll data, responding to employee inquiries, and supporting projects and process improvements.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Payroll.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Payroll processing support – Partner with the Senior Payroll Analyst to prepare, validate, and reconcile payroll data for Mexico, Brazil, and Costa Rica, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Data validation & audits – Perform pre- and post-processing checks to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
  • Vendor collaboration – Work closely with payroll vendors to troubleshoot issues, resolve variances, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Compliance adherence – Ensure payroll operations follow internal controls, statutory regulations, and company policies for each country.
  • Employee case resolution – Respond to and resolve payroll inquiries through the case management tool, providing accurate and timely support.
  • Process improvement – Identify and recommend scalable solutions to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Documentation maintenance – Develop and update payroll process documentation to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Project participation – Contribute to payroll-related projects, system enhancements, and testing activities in the LATAM region.

What We Look For

  • Regional payroll expertise – 3 years of payroll processing experience, including at least two LATAM countries (Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica preferred).
  • Global Team Environment - experience working for a multinational and high-growth company.
  • Regulatory knowledge – Solid understanding of statutory payroll requirements, including taxes, social security, and government reporting for each supported country.
  • System proficiency – Experience with Workday Payroll or a similar HRIS/payroll system, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Analytical & technical skills – Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) and the ability to analyze and reconcile payroll data for accuracy.
  • Case management experience – Familiarity with case management tools, SLAs, and metrics to track and improve service delivery.
  • Language skills – Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a strong plus.
  • Collaboration & communication – Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners in HR, Finance, and external vendors.

Why You’ll Love This Role

This position is perfect for someone who:

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with a Senior Payroll Analyst while contributing to accurate and timely payrolls across multiple LATAM countries.
  • Enjoys solving payroll challenges and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Wants exposure to multi-country payroll complexities and the opportunity to strengthen LATAM payroll expertise.
  • Values process improvement and the chance to contribute ideas that make payroll operations more efficient.
  • Appreciates working in a high-growth company where there’s room to learn, develop, and take on new responsibilities over time.
