About the role:

dbt Labs is seeking an Event Marketing Manager to oversee our event registration efforts, presence at some of our most strategic third party events annually, and ancillary programming at our annual user conference, Coalesce.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working across teams to drive successful event marketing campaigns, have a proven ability to work with sales to drive post-event conversion and running high-impact sponsorships of third-party events that drive business impact. Key qualifications include experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, a passion for building and maintaining meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders, strong event marketing and relationship management skills, and a keen attention to detail.

The Events Manager will collaborate with internal teams, including Strategic Events, Sales, Partnerships, Product Marketing, Branding and Demand Generation teams to executive their programs. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Events, this role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our biggest brand moments of the year.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead our Coalesce user conference event registration and attendance promotional campaigns. This will include managing our communications calendar and driving invitation strategy across marketing, sales, partners and more to ensure we achieve our registration targets.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure events accomplish shared goals of building and accelerating pipeline, expanding our existing customer base and building the dbt community. This role will partner closely with sales to drive event ROI.
  • Manage ancillary programs at Coalesce including Executive Summit, Partner Summit, and Investor Summit. The ideal candidate will have proven experience owning high-touch, executive programs from concept to strategy to execution.
  • Own marquee third-party trade show event sponsorships. The Events Manager will own the dbt Labs presence and experience at major partner and industry events. This person will lead overall event planning for the booth, content, ancillary programs, on-site meetings and all sponsorship deliverables to drive brand awareness and pipeline generation.

You are a good fit if you have:

  • 8-10 years experience in event management, primarily with large user conferences and premium, large property sponsorships
  • Experience working at a tech, B2B SaaS technology company
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills. Proven ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple competing priorities
  • A data-driven mindset
  • Experience with tools such as HubSpot and project management tools like Asana
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in an international, diverse and remote environment

  • Experience in the data or analytics space

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $137,000 - $161,000
