The opportunity
dcbel is looking to hire an Assistant to the Head of Engineering Department to work in our growing team. We are searching for a candidate that is excited to work in a dynamic engineering department and wants to learn the dynamics of managing such a department.
Main responsibilities
- Gather information available from different internal databases and generate clear, concise and actionable reports.
- Follow through on various initiatives and remove roadblocks. Escalade issues as necessary.
- Understand department priorities and help coordinate tasks accordingly.
- Summarize progress on many initiatives. Highlight items that require attention. Foresee items that could become problematic and request attention to mitigate risks.
- Track department’s budget.
- Track department’s timeline on initiatives.
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business or Technology related fields or equivalent work experience
- Very strong in all Microsoft tools (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
- Proven experience as an executive assistant will be considered an asset
