Responsibilities:

What can you expect to be doing?

You will be taking on a significant role that requires implementing working technical writing and project management skills and experience to create, maintain and enhance documentation through cross-functional collaboration. This includes the following:

· Working closely with the Product Managers, R&D, technical account & support managers, customer success, and other SMEs to solicit the technical information, requirements, and specifications during all phases of development and to effectively and concisely document the relevant instructions/procedures for multiple projects

· Preparing and maintaining multiple documentation projects as well as monitor and control project statuses

· Participating in product demos, sprints, and review meetings.

· Initiating and managing the end-to-end review and approval process for all content development from draft phase to completion to meet milestone timelines.

· Analyzing and review existing content to identify opportunities for efficient re-use of content to as well as collaborate with SMEs to further enhance and improve on consistency and accuracy of all technical documentation

· Identifying and predict customer needs to facilitate reduced support cases through self-serve support provided via the documentation

Requirements

What are we looking for in a technical writer?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer for a full-time position (hybrid work mode: 2 days WFH) to take on a key role of developing and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation for our cybersecurity software products. Someone who is autonomous, proactive, well organized, and methodical, with excellent project management skills. Someone who is diligent and professional as well as highly personable and approachable with a “can-do” approach.

You will join the technical documentation team which is under the umbrella the Product Management group.

So, if you have the following — we want to hear from you!

Minimum of eight years of technical writing experience with complex software products

Fluency in oral and written communication in English

Experience using xml/HTML single-sourcing HAT/CCMS authoring tools as well as proficiency in MS Word, and Adobe platforms

Demonstrated ability to comprehend and to simplify complex technical procedures

Self-directed with end-to-end project management capabilities, able to identify and prioritize deliverables and timelines independently. Proficient in managing all phases of the documentation development, review, and approval process up to finalization.

Ability to work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects in an environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.

Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management.

Ability to efficiently and thoroughly address feedback on published content from both customers and internal support representatives

In-depth knowledge and understanding of how to analyze source data (e.g., Engineering specs and requirements) and retrieve the relevant information

Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira)

Advantage:

Previous professional experience in a similar role in either a startup or corporate environment
