Deep Instinct, the first cyber security company to apply Deep Learning to cyber security is looking for a Threat Intelligence Researcher for its data science group. Deep instinct is an innovative start-up that has a unique and game-changing software solution to protect Fortune 500 End-Point, applications and storage clents against Zero Day & APT cyber-attacks. Your Impact

In this role you will be responsible for model life cycle – from dataset creation to model testing and choosing. You will identify, analyze, and collect malware samples, generate datasets that lay the foundation for our deep learning models.

The role involves hands-on responsibilities, working closely with research, development and product teams. It requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment with high-quality, accurate, and timely deliverables

Responsibilities:

Build and engineer mass-scale datasets used for training deep learning models, based on a solid understanding of the threat landscape.

Identify, collect, and analyse malware from a wide range of sources, ranging from customer environments to threat intelligence feeds and automated analysis tools

Analyze large scales of malware datasets based on OSINT

Working side-by-side with deep learning engineers as a cyber security domain expert on research projects.

Conduct in-depth multi-disciplinary cyber-Data Science research.

Requirements

BSc in Computer Science\ Software Engineer or any other equivalent bachelor’s degree.

Proficient hands on python coding skills.

Familiarity with Unix environments.

Experience in SQL and relational databases

Experience in working with large datasets in a distributed computing environment such as Pandas or PySpark .

Familiarity and understanding of hacking techniques, novel malware families and campaigns, common attack vectors (Windows - Must, MacOS/Android - Advantage)

Experience with collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from multiple sources.

Zest for efficiency, process automation and data logics.

Methodological approach and critical thinking.

Team player with passion for technology, autodidact, independent, innovative, and able to multi-task
