JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Research Data Scientist to join our drug discovery team at the Iambic Therapeutics headquarters in San Diego. You will be a key player in applying advanced ML techniques to support our drug discovery efforts. You will be part of drug discovery teams pursuing important therapeutics across multiple indications. In this role you will leverage machine learning models to support discovery activities on that team. You will process, clean, analyze, and oversee all numerical data gathered by that team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models for predicting drug-target interactions and molecular properties
• Collaborate with computational chemistry and other functions to process and clean biological data for modeling and analysis
• Optimize model performance and ensure scalability for large-scale computational experiments

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• PhD or equivalent degree in a computational field, or commensurate job experience
• Skills: Python programming, statistics, drug discovery

Strongly preferred:

• PhD or equivalent degree in computational chemistry or machine learning
• Able to locate in San Diego
• 2+ years of experience working in a drug discovery project
