Principal Talent Acquisition Partner
Flex
Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?
About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned and strategic Principal Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team at Flex. This is a critical role where you'll act as a strategic advisor and partner to our Leadership Team. You'll be responsible for hiring the executive and leadership talent (Director, VP+) that will shape the future of our non-technical and corporate functions. You will own the full-cycle recruitment process for our most complex and senior positions, including building out our high-caliber G&A teams and architecting the long-term talent strategy for our future General Managers. This position requires an expert recruiter with a vast network, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. For candidates outside of the NY/NJ area, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.
What You'll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for key leadership roles (Director, VP, and above) across our G&A organization, including Marketing, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Business Operations.
- Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our leaders and C-level executives, providing expert guidance on talent strategy, talent attraction, market trends, and compensation.
- Source, engage, and hire for our elite core business functions, targeting high-caliber candidates with backgrounds in top-tier consulting, finance and compliance.
- Design and execute a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy to build a pipeline for future General Manager (GM) roles, ensuring we have the leadership needed for our next phase of growth.
- Manage the entire offer process, including negotiating complex compensation packages, pooling market compensation data, navigating sensitive conversations, and closing senior candidates.
- Champion an exceptional candidate experience from the first point of contact to onboarding, acting as a true ambassador for our company and culture.
- Leverage data and market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies, influence stakeholders, and continuously improve our recruitment processes.
Key Qualifications
- 15+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a significant focus on hiring senior-level (Director+) G&A talent in a competitive market.
- Proven success in a high-growth tech or fintech environment; you're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing executive leadership (C-suite, VPs) on critical hiring decisions.
- Mastery of sourcing, negotiation, and closing techniques for passive, executive-level candidates.
- An expansive and relevant professional network within the G&A, strategy, and operations talent communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with candidates and senior leaders alike.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand the key drivers and talent needs of different departments.
- A strategic mindset combined with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude to execute flawlessly.
The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $167,000 - $178,000
