Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the role

We’re hiring a Manager, Marketing Operations to join Flex at a pivotal moment of rapid expansion. This high-impact role is focused on driving the long-term strategy and accountability for our marketing systems, specifically ensuring our operations are built to support and manage massive growth. You will work closely with Product Marketing, Product, CRM and cross-functional teams to ensure all marketing systems run smoothly. Your goal will be to build the infrastructure, processes, and automation that power our go-to-market strategy, and execute with speed, precision, and reliability.

What you'll do

  • Build and drive marketing operations: Establish a centralized marketing operations function focused on program management and operational efficiency. Step in to drive scale and efficiency for PMMs and CRMs during product launches and campaign surges.
  • Lead martech and AI strategy: Manage day-to-day operations of our marketing and analytics tools, ensuring integrations, permissions, and data flows run smoothly. Develop the team’s AI strategy, evaluate new technologies and identify automation use cases (such as content QA, audience building, and data cleanup).
  • Ensure flawless execution: Create and enforce QA checklists, validations, and error-proof processes. Foster a zero-error mindset for sends and campaigns, continually raising the bar for quality and reliability.
  • Track performance and operational health: Monitor campaign accuracy, send volume, SLAs, and platform uptime. Build simple dashboards that turn data into insights for the broader team.
  • Document and standardize processes: Maintain internal documentation, naming conventions, playbooks, and process standards to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Lead cross functional projects: Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of project work required by teams like Platform, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure marketing is aligned with product and adheres to regulatory standards.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Ops, as a Marketing Generalist, or Revenue Ops, ideally in a fast-paced consumer or fintech environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience with core martech stack tools (e.g., marketing automation, CRM, analytics platforms) and demonstrated ability to manage integrations and data flow at scale.
  • Operational excellence: Proven ability to design, implement, and enforce robust QA, validation, and change control standards across a team, fostering a culture of zero-error execution and reliability.
  • Data driven impact: Exceptional analytical and communication skills used to define the team's operational and performance metrics, interpret complex data, and present strategic narratives to senior leadership.
  • Future-focused & innovative: A strong curiosity about automation and AI, with a proven desire to responsibly evaluate and implement emerging tools to drive team efficiency and scale.
  • Cross-functional influence: A skilled leader able to influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups (e.g., Product, Legal, Risk) to ensure successful, compliant end-to-end execution of operational requirements.

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $174,000 - $189,000.
