Flexcompute is in search of an exceptional Director of Engineering - Backend Technology, poised to steer our backend engineering endeavors with expertise in cloud computing, technical architecture, and high performance computing. With a focus on scientific computing and GPU acceleration, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient performance and scalability of our high-speed computing technology to deliver high-quality SaaS solutions.

What You Will Do:
- System Architecture: Design and architect distributed, low latency, cloud-based applications, utilizing cloud service and high-performance computing systems specifically for physics simulations.
- Technical Leadership: Oversee and review contributions from a team of engineers to uphold the highest standards of software engineering, prioritizing efficiency, and maintainability.
- Product Oversight: Ensure exceptional execution in delivering top-tier Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, maintaining a keen eye on product quality and user-centric design.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of web development engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative atmosphere that encourages continuous learning and growth.
