FLEXCOMPUTE

FLEXCOMPUTE

United States
Posted on May 24, 2025

Flexcompute is leading the charge in transforming the engineering simulation landscape with our groundbreaking ultra-fast simulation technology. Our suite of products, including the acclaimed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software Flow360 and electromagnetic software Tidy3D, are at the forefront of the industry, revolutionizing how simulations are conducted across various sectors. Our inception is rooted in the pioneering foresight of experts from Stanford University and MIT, supported by significant investments from top-tier venture capital firms. As innovators, we’re dedicated to continuously pushing the boundaries, driving rapid growth, and challenging the traditional norms of the multi-billion-dollar engineering simulation market.

As we continue our growth trajectory, we seek an EM Application Engineer to help drive our EM simulation and design products to dominate both academic and industry markets.

Role Overview

As an Application Engineer, your primary mission is to demonstrate how electromagnetic simulations—especially using Tidy3D—can solve practical, high-impact problems in both academic research and industrial product development. You'll serve as a technical expert and thought partner to scientists, engineers, and product designers, helping them translate real-world challenges into simulation workflows that deliver insight, speed, and innovation.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electromagnetics and numerical simulation, who also enjoys engaging with the broader technical community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bridge Theory and Application: Help customers apply simulations to cutting-edge problems in electromagnetics.
  • Technical Enablement: Provide expert-level support to users, guiding them through simulation setup, optimization, and interpretation of results.
  • Sales Engineering Support: Work alongside the sales team to understand customer requirements and communicate how Tidy3D can accelerate their R&D.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure customer feedback informs product direction and outreach efforts.
