As a Senior Corporate Events Manager, you'll bring the GitLab brand to life through a variety of events. You'll work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop, execute, and report on end-to-end events. In this role, you will manage post-program deliverables, including event analysis, reports of budget, attendee feedback as well as oversee and onboard different vendor and partner contractors. The Corporate Events Manager reports to Director, Corporate Events.

What you'll do in this role

  • Planning and production for small to medium scale corporate events, including brief development, project management, designing, sourcing, and delivering the desired event experience.
  • Manage the related budget for assigned events, including sponsorships, event execution and experience (when applicable), while balancing ROI and aligning spend to strategic goals.
  • Elevate the experience for both internal and external participants to differentiate GitLab and engage customers and prospects.
  • Lead on-site execution and management, including staffing and resourcing for a portfolio of events.
  • Drive assigned work streams associated with team programs where you are not the lead, including staffing, resourcing, and on-site execution.
  • Deliver reporting/analysis on performance/business impact for designated activities.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams to create event agendas, campaigns, and content that meets engagement targets.
  • Collaborate with sales team to generate ongoing feedback loop to help drive more prospects/customers to events
  • Develop and deliver event enablement to include pre-event briefings, at-event briefings, and drive post-event follow-up briefings and event retrospectives
  • Oversee creation of event communications and promotion for programs, in partnership with Demand Gen and Field Marketing teams, to drive attendance and engagement.

We're looking for

  • Proficient in core event logistics and managing small to medium event programs and leading key work streams for larger complex events.
  • Proficient in budget and project management and superior organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously, and to deal with potential for tight deadlines and unexpected complexities.
  • Strong relationship builder, collaborative and transparent communicator with range of stakeholders, team members, agencies and vendors; including managing conflict and challenging conversations
  • Skilled at collaborating and communicating with internal and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Marketing.
  • Accomplished at delivering creative and innovative experiential elements that support overall messaging and strengthen the GitLab brand.
  • CMP or CMM certifications preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule and the availability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

California/New York/New Jersey pay range
$84,000$180,000 USD
