Gong is seeking a highly motivated, Engineering Team Lead to join our outstanding R&D organization in building and maintaining our vital data capture systems.

As Engineering Team Lead, you will:

• Lead a team of strong engineers responsible for core systems that capture data and imports into Gong, which includes high scale ingestion systems that integrates with various external data providers.
• Lead by example and drive your team to continuously improve and optimize our core systems, maintaining robust and scalable systems, that keeps our raving fans (AKA customers) happy.
• Coach, mentor and grow individuals in the team to reach their full potential.
• Maintain high observablilty systems for continuously perform and measure impact on production systems.
• Push for technical excellence and improvements while balancing product and business requirements.

You should apply if you are:

• An experienced team leader (+4 years managing people) with a hands-on approach.
• With +10 years of software development experience in the industry, including diverse cloud based technologies (such as Kafka, SQS, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL) and frameworks in the Java ecosystem (a must).
• Experienced with large-scale, cloud-based applications.
• Holding a degree in computer science or similar (preferred).
• Most importantly, a person who enjoys motivating, guiding and growing people.
