R&D Support Engineer

As an R&D Support Engineer, you'll tackle complex technical challenges—working closely with our support and Go-To-Market teams to resolve critical customer issues. You'll leverage your expertise in Java, databases, and web APIs to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix escalations, ensuring our customers achieve maximum value from our solutions. If you thrive on solving intricate problems, fostering customer satisfaction, and collaborating with a dynamic R&D team, this role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with support and Go-To-Market teams to address and resolve technical escalations, driving success for R&D’s customer-facing initiatives.
  • Utilizing your Java, database, and web API skills to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Identifying root causes, proposing improvements, and developing new tools for debugging and troubleshooting, all as part of the R&D team.
  • Championing support, troubleshooting, and observability initiatives within the R&D team, acting as an ambassador for customer satisfaction and what we call "Raving Fans."

You should apply if you have:

  • Experience in Java (or a similar language).
  • A degree in computer science or a related field—an advantage.
  • A tech-oriented background, with experience in IT, R&D, or QA—a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following areas—an advantage:
    • SQL and relational databases, with the ability to understand and work with complex queries.
    • Writing, executing, and troubleshooting REST APIs.
    • Monitoring and debugging tools (e.g., Kibana, DataDog, Sentry).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex issues effectively within and outside the team.
  • A highly analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong sense of urgency and ownership, with a high customer and service orientation.
