About the Role

In this role, you’ll help shape our AI & Comms experience, leading the design and delivery of large-scoped features and complex initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence and communication. As a Staff Product designer, you will work across multiple teams, collaborating with cross-functional partners to shape the future of our product experience. Your work will help to set the standards to influence product strategy, achieve high design quality, create intuitive and user-centered solutions from concept to execution, including user research, interaction/UI design, and prototypes that evolve our user experience forward, while driving towards our key business goals.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Effectively communicate design direction and execution for AI-powered features across the experience while getting alignment with senior leaders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create an integrated experience across mobile app.

  • Map complex workflows: Simplify and orchestrate interconnected experiences to introduce AI across the experiences, ensuring customers feel confident and supported along the way.

  • Optimize the journey: Use A/B testing, user research, and data science insights to refine enrollment strategies, improving completion rates and time-to-value.

  • Design at scale: Use and contribute to our design system to build scalable components and patterns that support consistency and efficiency.

  • Champion quality and accessibility: Ensure that every onboarding touchpoint is accessible, inclusive, and thoughtfully crafted for diverse user needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience, including partnering with product and engineering teams

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Interaction, Industrial, Product, Service design or related field

  • Portfolio showcasing product shipments, expertise in interaction design, and visual design understanding

  • Experience leading product design from opportunity to concept to shipment

  • Experience prototyping, user research, and system-level design documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing AI-powered features gracefully within existing product experiences

  • Experience with motion design and advanced prototyping

  • Passion for Healthcare or Fitness — you’re passionate about enabling others to live their healthiest lives through design and technology, and have experience in the industry

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $177,600 - $266,400.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

This is a San Francisco-based role that involves regular interaction and collaboration with Hinge Health colleagues in Bengaluru, India.

Time zones: San Francisco is the Pacific Time Zone, which is 12 hours and 30 minutes behind India Standard Time – for example, 8am in San Francisco is 8:30pm in Bengaluru. Standard working hours in San Francisco are between 8am - 6pm. For this role, applicants should expect regular meetings in the early morning, and occasional late evening, to overlap with India Standard Time.
