About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious and energetic individual to support our revenue cycle function. This person will be instrumental in: ensuring that we are billing accurately and reimbursed in a timely fashion from clients, payers and health plans.

This individual will report on the financial health of our business by investigating data trends and manipulating data as needed. They will work cross-functionally to strategize and implement policies and procedures that not only improve reimbursement but also improve the user experience, and assist our revenue operations & strategy team scale.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in the consulting, startup, or healthcare fields, who is interested in understanding the mechanics of healthcare reimbursement and financial reporting. We are looking for a motivated team member and owns the day-to-day revenue cycle management responsibilities, enjoys working cross-functionally, and who is also comfortable reporting on the financial stability of our business to our leadership team. What You'll Accomplish

  • Support end-to-end claim and invoice billing processes, ensuring accurate client charges from pre-submission through post-submission

  • Set up new clients for bill submission and enable electronic remittance receipt

  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering to facilitate billing and remittance for new clients

  • Submit monthly invoices to clients and assist with patient payment collection and follow-up

  • Contribute to Revenue Operations & Strategy initiatives, including new payment structure setup as programs expand

  • Prepare for and lead internal and external meetings as a representative of the Revenue Operations team

  • Report on key revenue cycle metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Investigate financial and billing data to provide insights as needed

  • Document projects and processes clearly and concisely

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ad-hoc claim rejections, verify user eligibility, and re-submit claims

  • Identify and propose solutions for revenue cycle process breakdowns

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 + year of professional experience, in the startup, consulting, and/or healthcare fields

  • 1+ year of experience with Excel

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience working in a healthcare startup

  • 1+ year of experience in revenue cycle management

  • 1+ year of experience with project management

  • 1+ year of experience in finance or accounting

  • Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation

  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams

  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup environment

  • Experience preparing written reports and presentations for diverse audiences

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $73,600 - $$110,400.
