Job Description

About the Role

Hinge Health is a company that recognizes the value of design. As a Senior Product Designer on the CareHub team, you’ll join a collaborative group of designers who care deeply about creating cohesive, intuitive product experiences that have a real impact. Our design team plays a central role in solving meaningful problems for millions of members managing their joint and muscle health, making a tangible difference in their lives every day.

CareHub is where care happens at Hinge Health — it’s the unified platform that connects our physical therapists, health coaches, and care managers to members, enabling them to deliver personalized, high-quality MSK care. Clinicians use CareHub to manage patient histories, care plans, documentation, and communication across multiple tools.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting interfaces so intuitive that our clinical teams can focus on what matters most — caring for patients, not navigating software. You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering partners to design experiences that simplify complex workflows while meeting regulatory and clinical requirements.

You’ll be based in Bengaluru and reporting to a Design Manager who partners closely with Product and Engineering leadership. This is a high-impact opportunity at a pivotal time in Hinge Health’s growth — our business is thriving, our member base continues to expand, and the design decisions you make in CareHub will directly influence how we deliver exceptional care at scale.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Elevate System and Visual Design: Contribute scalable design patterns, document rationale, and mentor others to strengthen design consistency and quality.
  • Champion Accessibility and Quality: Ensure every interface is inclusive, accessible, and crafted with attention to detail.
  • Advance the Design System: Design, document, and maintain reusable components, patterns, and templates that scale across product teams, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and performance.
  • Optimize Component Development: Create, iterate, and refine components and design tokens to improve usability, reduce inconsistencies, and drive adoption across platforms.
  • Engineer Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers to ensure design systems are implemented accurately in code, maintaining quality, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
  • System Governance & Evolution: Contribute to governance processes by defining how components are proposed, reviewed, approved, and deprecated—balancing innovation with consistency.
  • Data-Informed Improvement: Identify and champion opportunities for system enhancements based on usage data, feedback, and alignment with the product roadmap.
  • Maintain Clear Documentation: Produce thorough documentation that communicates usage guidelines, design rationale, and responsive behavior for designers and engineers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, collaborating directly with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Service Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of product design work, including examples of shipped or in-market products that show both interaction and visual design capabilities.
  • Experience applying visual design principles including layout, iconography, and typography to create cohesive and accessible interfaces.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools and methods to test, validate, and communicate design intent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 mindset — you're comfortable navigating ambiguity, partnering closely with product and engineering teammates to make decisions quickly, learn from them, and iterate. You aren't afraid to put something out there to get rapid feedback.

  • Design thinker for complex systems — you're energized by thorny user needs, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities to modernize legacy tools

  • AI curiosity — you actively explore how emerging tools like generative AI can enhance workflows, creativity, or product experiences

  • Design innovator — you are excited to redefine a space by bringing novel, delightful ideas to the table. You are able to pull from unexpected sources of inspiration.

  • Master of many mediums — you design seamlessly across mobile, desktop, wearables, and other interfaces

  • Passion for Healthcare or Fitness — you're passionate about enabling others to live their healthiest lives through design and technology, and have experience in the industry
