The convergence of laboratory automation, high-throughput assays, and machine learning is moving the medium of biological discovery to silicon. At LatchBio, we are building the ubiquitous cloud platform to store, visualize and analyze data from biological experiments.
We are 18 engineers and salespeople in San Francisco solving the data bottleneck in biology:
- Data in biotech has increased 10,000x over the past 10 years
- AI in biopharma will 20x in 7 years. $200m to $4b, 54% CAGR.
- We build ubiquitous software, storage, pipelines, & machine learning for all of biology
Our mission is to build and disseminate the data infrastructure platform of the biocomputing revolution. Today, this is a cloud platform for biotechs to store, process, and visualize data.
Traction
Spun out of UC Berkeley in 2021, we spent 9 months on customer discovery, 12 months building the product, and the past 8 months readying our go-to-market. We have achieved:
- 50+ new biotech companies onboarded in the past 12 months
- $28m Series A from Lux Capital, Coatue, and General Catalyst
- Doubling in customer usage every six weeks for nearly a year

About the Role
We are seeking a high-ownership and creative marketer to own the marketing function at Latch.
You will be the #1 marketing hire and responsible for establishing marketing operations from the ground up and bring in inbound qualified leads.
Core Competencies
- Top-of-funnel marketing experience: Evidence of exceptional performance driving marketing qualified leads via lead generation and nurturing marketing programs
- Digital marketing skills: Knowledge of SEO/ SEM, Google Ads, web/ social media content writing, marketing analytics, UX for website optimization, and more
- Marketing operations knowledge: Fluency in marketing operations, automation, infrastructure and measuring ROI
- Technical Product understanding: Ability learn technical products quickly and understand key features, benefits, and customer use cases
- Market understanding: Ability to understand different personas (bioinformaticians, end user scientists, technical decision makers) in the biotech market.
- Writing ability: Ability to write clear and tailored messaging for content for different user personas

- Data-driven: You are thoughtful about what metrics to track for your marketing campaigns, and constantly analyze these metrics to optimize existing and future campaigns.
- Creative: You don’t follow the standard list of common marketing tactics that anyone can Google. Throughout your experience, you’ve developed unconventional tactics - your own secret sauce - that distinguishes you from other marketers.
- Reflective: You are thoughtful about reflecting on your marketing campaign successes and failures, and use these insights as learnings to deliver results on future campaigns.
- Resourceful: You are resourceful marketers are those who never stop generating ideas, running experiments, and iterating to maximize the number leads driven to the website. Given a marketing qualified leads target, you understand how to allocate resources efficiently to exceed the target by 120%.
- Up-to-date with industry trends: You like staying up-to-date with trends in biotech via newsletters like Fierce Biotech, Scaling Biotech, and more.

We work six days per week — Monday through Saturday — in-person in Mission Bay, San Francisco.
