Lead Bank wants to provide a real world experience and opportunity to college Juniors and Seniors who are interested in the Finance and Accounting industry. We are offering a summer internship, with the potential to develop into a long term position. This individual will assist in giving back to the Kansas City community while supporting Lead Bank’s Accounting/Finance Team.

In this role you will:

Assist with daily Accounting/Finances responsibilities and tasks
Assist with daily entry processing
Perform daily and monthly reconciliations
Assist with common accounting functions such as fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and accounts payable
Be given the opportunity to participate in special projects, such as research and presentations
Enjoy community involvement through volunteer opportunities
Be given banking experience through department shadow rotation which could include experience with department such as Operations, Lending, and Internal Audit
Visit Offset clients/partners
Assist in department procedure and process development, including involvement in new Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) programs
Assist in department organizational objectives, such as revisions to file storage standards and project management
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

College Junior, Senior or graduate level of educational experience in Accounting/Finance
Major focus in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field of study
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem management skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to self-manage workday and tasks
Desire to operate in many systems, including Microsoft and Google applications
