Role Description:
We are seeking a Senior Business Banking Specialist to join our team. This client-facing, operations-focused position supports business banking and payments across both traditional community bank clients and more complex, payments-related programs. The Specialist works closely with clients and internal teams to support the effective use of accounts and products, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness, coordination, and follow-through.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in evolving environments, collaborates effectively across functions, and exercises sound judgment when supporting higher-risk industries and non-standard client use cases.
In this role you will:
Be a subject matter expert in the operational setup, servicing, and troubleshooting of the business banking and payments product suite (including analysis, Business Online, ACH/wire origination, Positive Pay, RDC/MRDC) for both community bank and payments clients
Open and service commercial accounts, supporting initial and ongoing due diligence and providing client education during onboarding and throughout the relationship, including more complex Payments Program and BaaS relationships
Complete, maintain, and update client documentation and agreements required for enrollment and ongoing support of Lead’s business banking and payments products suite, ensuring alignment with rule changes and product offerings
Troubleshoot client issues through resolution by partnering with internal teams and external vendors, escalating as appropriate
Enable client payment activity by configuring and maintaining product access, permissions, and limits across supported platforms
Manage work routed through shared inboxes and internal collaboration channels, ensuring timely, high-quality responses and accurate task routing
Align Lead’s product set to client operating needs and use cases as part of ongoing servicing and support
Verify personal and business identification documents (CIP/KYC) and archive supporting documentation
Deliver excellent, tailored client service, including higher-touch support for complex or high-impact client relationships
Assist with gathering requested information for required audits

Qualifications
2+ years of banking experience, including experience in business banking, treasury/cash management, commercial account servicing, or payments-focused roles
Proficiency in Google Suite and Q2 Online Banking is strongly preferred
Demonstrated history of providing exceptional service, with strong ownership of client outcomes
Experience and understanding of the business banking products suite, including analysis, online banking, ACH, and wire origination
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal stakeholders
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation, setup, and maintenance work
Proven ability to manage a high volume of work and shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality, compliant outcomes
