Simply put, Lead offers the essential attributes that every fintech seeks in a partner bank. In this role you will:

  • Assist with the maintenance of various GRC programs, such as Issue Management, Audit & Exam Management, Risk & Control, Program & Policy Management, and Complaints Program
  • Maintain Lead’s issue management repository on a day-to-day basis, coordinating with issue owners, performing updates and producing reporting as needed
  • Provide independent risk challenge and oversight ensuring issues are recorded accurately, and adhere to program requirements
  • Analyze Issues and prepare executive-level reports that highlight themes, root causes, and emerging risks to Risk Management committees
  • Assist with the oversight of the audit management program which includes overseeing audit schedules, statements of work, and communicating with external auditors & fintech partners
  • Maintain excellent communication with all levels of the organization and remain responsive to stakeholders to ensure timely handling of requests related to issues, audits and complaints
  • Provide appropriate training to other Lead Bank team members on Issue Management and other governance program procedures and processes as needed
  • Bring a customer-service attitude to both internal employees and external partner and stakeholders
  • Occasional travel to Kansas City or other key Lead Bank locations (i.e. SF, NY) as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in performing risk management functions, especially issue management
  • Ability to draw upon fundamental risk management expertise to assist with issues across several different risk domains
  • Experience with Banking-as-a-Service is a strong plus
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a group under minimal daily direction.
  • Intellectually curious. You adapt to change, embrace bold ideas, ask questions, test assumptions, and challenge conventional thinking
  • Proficient with data entry tools/systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency with business intelligence/analytics tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau etc.)

**Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on geographical market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: $79,000 - $107,000 (SF/Bay Area, NYC, Seattle, LA)
Zone 2: $71,000 - $95,000 (Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, DC)
Zone 3: $65,000 - $87,000 (Other US Metros)
