Lime is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our China team! In this role, you will report into the China Hardware team. You will have the opportunity to transform the way people travel around the world and make a significant contribution to improving our planet’s environment.

What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Hardware, Supply Chain, Product) to create and deliver innovative lightweight electric vehicles.
- Develop detailed, elegant mechanical designs using CAD software.
- Brainstorm and resolve mechanical, manufacturing, and reliability challenges creatively.
- Build prototypes using metalworking and 3D printing tools.
- Design and execute tests to validate new concepts, promoting data-driven decision-making.
- Focus on creating user-friendly designs by considering input from the Operations team.
- Oversee the concurrent development of multiple parts or subsystems.
- Generate and manage technical documentation using GD&T and product lifecycle management systems, collaborating with global teams and external vendors as needed.
About You:
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 6+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and designing parts for various manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading the mechanical design of multi-part subsystems/products and taking projects through the complete development cycle.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively across functional teams, and communicate well.
- Experience working with overseas teams and managing projects on tight timelines in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to prototype and validate new designs, with a curious, collaborative, and hardworking approach; experience or interest in micromobility is a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
- Experience in [relevant skills or sectors, e.g., electric vehicles, sustainable energy solutions, smart lock etc.].
- Background in design for reliability and lifecycle optimization.
