The Role

The Head of Trust & Safety Operations is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for safeguarding Linktree’s global community and maintaining the integrity of the platform. This role ensures that users can engage safely and confidently while supporting the company’s rapid global growth.
This leader will evolve and scale the operational foundation of Trust & Safety at Linktree, developing the systems, teams, and processes that power effective moderation, investigations, and enforcement. They will oversee global operations across time zones, partner with cross functional leaders to embed data driven decision making, and ensure consistent quality and accuracy across all operational workflows. Every operational decision should align with Linktree’s values of transparency, fairness, and respect for user expression.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in online safety and risk management, thrives in fast moving environments, and combines analytical rigor with empathy and sound judgment. They will serve as the central authority for operational execution in Trust & Safety, balancing proactive prevention, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement to uphold user trust and platform resilience.

What You’ll Own

  • Mentor, and lead global T&S operations teams across regions (internal and vendor).
  • Oversee user report handling, content moderation, fraud prevention, and crisis response.
  • Develop and implement global operational strategy, including outsourcing and 24x7 coverage models.
  • Define and track operational metrics (response times, case quality, user impact) and deliver data-driven insights to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Lead investigations and high-risk incident management, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Partner with Policy, Legal, and Product to align enforcement processes with evolving trust, privacy, and safety frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process design, and operational tooling.
  • Foster an empathetic, inclusive team culture that prioritizes user safety and mental wellbeing.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in scaled Trust & Safety or Risk Operations leadership, including managing global or vendor teams.
  • Deep experience with moderation systems, fraud or abuse prevention, and incident escalation.
  • Data-driven leader who uses metrics to improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Calm, decisive, and empathetic during crises and sensitive escalations.
  • Skilled at managing cross-functional partnerships with Product, Legal, and Engineering.
  • Proven ability to build structure and clarity in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $160,000 - $170,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
