Are you a seasoned Sr. Client Platform Engineer passionate about optimizing end-user experiences and building robust, secure, and highly efficient computing environments? Navan is looking for a proactive and experienced engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and management of our diverse client platforms. In this critical role, you'll drive initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and ensure a seamless technology experience for all employees.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect & Optimize: Design, deploy, and continuously optimize our diverse client computing platforms, including Windows, macOS, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Virtual Desktops.
- Automate & Innovate: Develop, implement, and automate advanced processes for endpoint deployment, configuration management, patching, and compliance, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Expert Support & Resolution: Provide top-tier technical support and troubleshooting for complex client system issues, acting as a subject matter expert for the organization.
- Collaborate & Secure: Partner closely with security, infrastructure, systems engineering, and help desk teams to establish best practices, develop innovative tools, and build a secure, stable, and user-friendly computing ecosystem.
- Proactive Management: Continuously monitor and analyze client platform health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders across various business units to understand their unique technology needs and translate them into effective, scalable technical solutions.
- Document & Define: Create comprehensive documentation, including client management procedures, technical manuals, system integration plans, and proposals.
- IT Asset Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end IT Asset Management program, ensuring accurate tracking and optimization of all client hardware and software.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Client Platform Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or a similar senior systems administration role.
- Endpoint Management Mastery: Deep expertise with leading endpoint management tools and technologies, such as Jamf, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM/MECM, Kandji, or Workspace ONE.
- Operating System & Scripting Prowess: In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS, including advanced software deployment, image creation, and robust automation scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting).
- Virtualization Expertise: Proven experience in implementing and managing virtual desktop and application environments (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, VMware Horizon).
- Cloud Savvy: Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their integration points with client technology solutions.
- Large-Scale Deployments: Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale device deployments and the entire endpoint lifecycle.
- Security Focus: Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, industry standards, frameworks, and endpoint protection technologies.
- Problem Solver & Communicator: Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Organized & Proactive: Highly organized, meticulous, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management: Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous initiatives and consistently meet critical deadlines.
- Continuous Learner: A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging technologies in client and endpoint management.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate, MCSE, Jamf Certified Expert, ITIL, or CISSP.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Availability: Ability to work occasional odd hours and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
