Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer to streamline GTM (Go-to-Market) operations through system integration and automation. You will develop and maintain integrations between various BizTech team tools to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency. The role focuses on using iPaaS platforms, scripting automation, and API-based integrations to enhance business processes and scalability.

What You'll Achieve:

• Design, build, and maintain automated integrations between business systems (e.g., CRM, billing, support, and marketing tools).
• Create event-driven automation workflows using Python and iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Mulesoft, Tray.io, Zapier).
• Streamline key business processes and operational workflows to boost efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Monitor and resolve integration issues while ensuring data integrity across systems. Experience analyzing existing systems and processes to identify integration points and opportunities for improvement.
• Experience with data mapping, cleaning, and validating the data for migration, including ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for integrations, workflows, and automation best practices.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• 4+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Integration Engineering, or Business Systems Engineering
• Strong experience with Python for scripting and automation
• Hands-on expertise with iPaaS tools like Workato, Mulesoft, Tray.io, or Zapier
• Experience implementing REST APIs and webhooks for system integrations
• Proven track record of building and scaling automation workflows for business operations
• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in data integrity and process optimization
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-team partnerships

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with GraphQL API querying and management.
• Knowledge of common business tools like CRM (Salesforce), billing systems (Stripe, NetSuite).

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $205,000
