Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Associate Director, ICHRA Operations to join our Eligibility & Billing team.

About the role

The Associate Director, Operations Strategy supports the company in implementing Oscar’s entrance into the employer marketplace through reimbursement based models such as ICHRA and QSHERA. As the expert on our direct enrollment channel and integrations with external partners, you will play a critical role in scaling the line of business and achieving growth objectives

You will report to the Senior Director, Eligibility & Billing.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $144,000 - $189,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $129,600 - $170,100 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize Oscar direct (off-exchange) enrollment channel and ensure core processes scale with our membership growth and entrance to new markets and customer segments including ICHRA
  • Responsible for all eligibility and billing business rules for direct enrollment channel and ensure all policies and procedures are documented and adhered to by processing teams
  • Partner with tech on developing enrollment and billing file-feed specifications and APIs, and support implementation with external platform partners (e.g. ICHRA and QSHERA administrators)
  • Manage reconciliations of enrollment and financial data with integration partners and develop methodology to monitor and optimize data accuracy and other performance standards
  • Act as an internal and external thought partner on all matters related to direct enrollment channel and partner integrations, including engaging with external operational partners at exchanges, administration platforms, and industry trade groups
  • Support external partnerships with consultants, administrators, and others as needed to support business growth objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate 4 years of experience
  • 7+ years experience with 4+ of those years in an operational role in the healthcare industry supporting health plan enrollment, billing or related administrative functions

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
