Now to the point… We are looking for fun, dedicated and passionate about customers Head of Due Diligence.

The Head of Due Diligence at Pleo is a strategic leadership position designed for an individual capable of leading other managers and being accountable for the performance of Pleo's corporate customer due diligence teams worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on production management, with an emphasis on meeting SLAs, enhancing planning and forecasting, and mitigating risks. This role demands a proactive leader with a can-do mentality, poised to challenge the status quo and inspire their teams through all challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global due diligence teams, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to SLAs.
  • Strategically develop and implement processes for planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, excellence, and innovation within the team.
  • Guarantee compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies across jurisdictions.
  • Direct the team towards operational excellence, surpassing targets through effective leadership and motivation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to refine the customer onboarding experience and enhance KYC processes.
  • Be in the details, know what is in your queues a all times and prioritise based on what is best for Pleo

Key Requirements

  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in customer due diligence, KYC, or transaction monitoring within the financial services sector - preferably within the UK or EU.
  • Proven track record in production management, prioritization, risk mitigation, and a deep understanding of process excellence and optimization, particularly in improving customer conversion and onboarding automation.
  • A forward-thinking mentality that challenges the status quo and fosters innovation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams through challenging periods.

Nice to Have/Advantage

  • Experience managing remote or geographically dispersed teams, with a sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • AI knowledge/ curiosity and hands-on experience, particularly in enhancing due diligence and KYC processes.
  • Experience in B2B due diligence/KYC processes, with a focus on streamlining and automating operations.
