About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to build next-generation tools to propel Ramp forward in the financial operations space. Working alongside the Applied AI team of engineers, you will own the end-to-end implementation of AI within Ramp. During your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with other product designers to elevate how AI is applied to their area and craft a compelling vision of how Ramp will operate in the AI space.
As a product designer at Ramp, you will identify the right problems to solve, take ownership of the experience, and ship simple, intuitive solutions at the highest level of craft and execution. You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver a unified experience across product verticals. You will balance being tactical to drive immediate value to the product & blue-sky thinking to define Ramp’s future.
We’re looking for a “jack of all trades” who genuinely desire to learn from the best, champion our users’ voices, move fast, own decisions, and ship software daily.
Please note that this role will require you to be comfortable working in-person at our NYC HQ (located near Madison Square Park) at least 2 days/week.
What You’ll Do
Lead design for applying AI to our product; own the design process from early ideation, prioritization, and launch
Work directly with product/engineering leads to translate company strategy into prioritized initiatives in the roadmap and identify the right problems to solve
Be opinionated and leverage a direct line with our customers to get insights and make decisions quickly. Explore solutions, create prototypes, and dive into user feedback/data to identify friction points and improvement opportunities for every initiative
Working with cross-functional partners to deliver a unified and intuitive experience across product verticals powered by AI
Advocate for our users by continuously iterating on and evolving our core products and experiences. Identify areas of improvement and deliver value to customers every day
Collaborate with the rest of the design team to evolve our long-term product vision, design systems, brand guidelines, and internal design collaboration process
Participate in day-to-day team rituals like design crit, story creation, weekly stand-ups, etc
Help us hire more amazing people to grow the design team and bring diverse perspectives to our design process
What You Need
Minimum 5 years of tech/startup experience or equivalent
A proven track record of shipping experiences with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
Experience working with a team of AI engineers to ship experiences that drive business value
Experience owning products from start to finish, working with engineers and PMs
Mastery of low and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma
Ability to lead & conduct user research to validate ideas quickly to influence & define what we build
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Compensation
The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $161,500-$190,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
