This role is focusing on expanding the partnership channel through proactive out-reach to targeted potential Ecom Payment Facilitator (PF) partners already in Europe or looking to enter Europe. The senior business development manager is responsible for building and maintaining a strong healthy pipeline of qualified deals. This involves prospecting, negotiating and closing large deal sizes and requires a consultative selling approach. Negotiations and relationship management with partners are held at C-level and experience of negotiating at this level is required. Valitor is working in a fast paced environment and the right candidate for the role is a self starter who can hit the ground running and is driven to deliver results. Previous payments experience is preferred. Strong knowledge in Excel and Microsoft office suite and and an interest in technology is important to excel in this role.
The role reports to VP Acquiring Partnerships.
Location: Amsterdam, minimum 4 days a week from the Amsterdam Office
The role will involve traveling to meet prospective partners.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of Sales Managers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to maximize their potential and performance.
- Sales Strategy: Execute effective sales strategies to drive net new business growth within the Acquiring Partnerships segment, aligning with company objectives and market trends.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with ISOs, Payment Facilitators, and ISV’s, fostering strong relationships and driving sales initiatives.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely progression of opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Marketing, and PArtner Support, to optimize Partner onboarding and product offerings for enhanced partner satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance, analyze results, and implement actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, leveraging insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing updates on sales performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be someone of the calibre and ability to make an immediate impact. They will need to be comfortable working in a business that operates at pace and cutting through any complexity. They will have intellectual horsepower, resilience and strong interpersonal skills to get different teams aligned for large projects.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the payments industry, with specific experience in selling card acquiring solutions to ISOs and Payment Facilitators.
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- Strategic thinker with excellent business acumen and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of payment industry regulations, trends, and technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results in a competitive market landscape.
